2. Floor Guide: A T-shaped floor guide, anchored in place, prevents the door from swinging out or up against the baseboard, keeping it firmly in place.

3. Anti-Jumpers: Small round discs installed on top of the door prevent it from being lifted off the rail unless they are turned, providing an additional layer of security.

Overcoming Installation Challenges

In the event that the studs do not align with the pre-drilled holes in the rail, or if there is a doorway trim with a combined depth greater than 2 inches, a headboard can be used to ensure a seamless installation.

Additionally, a minimum of 5 inches of clearance from the top of the door to the ceiling (or crown molding) is required for the hardware kit to fit correctly.

Accommodating Various Door Thicknesses

Our barn door hardware kits are designed to work with a wide range of door thicknesses, from 1 3/8 inches to 1 3/4 inches. This flexibility is achieved by countersinking the bolt heads into the back of the door or using longer bolts from your local hardware store.

If the door depth plus the trim depth is less than 2 inches, an extra spacing solution may be required, which can be accomplished by bolting a header board to the studs and then attaching the rail to the header board.
